Frequently Asked Questions
Is resizing images free on Pixotter?
Yes. Resize unlimited images for free with no signup required. Free tier supports up to 20 images per batch (10MB each). All processing happens in your browser — your images never leave your device.
How does Pixotter resize images without uploading them?
Pixotter resizes your images directly in your browser. Your image never leaves your device — it's loaded into memory, resized with high-quality resampling, and saved instantly.
What file formats can I resize?
Pixotter resizes JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, TIFF, BMP, and HEIC/HEIF files. The output format matches the input by default, or you can add a Convert step to change formats in the same pipeline.
Will resizing reduce image quality?
Downscaling (making images smaller) preserves quality well. Upscaling (making images larger) can introduce blur since new pixels must be interpolated. Pixotter uses Lanczos resampling, which produces the sharpest results. For significant upscaling, consider the AI Upscale tool instead.
Can I resize to exact dimensions for social media?
Yes. Pixotter includes presets for Instagram (1080×1080, 1080×1920), Facebook (1200×630), LinkedIn (1200×627), YouTube (1280×720), Twitter/X (1600×900), Shopify, Passport, A4, and more. Select a preset or enter custom pixel dimensions.
